Practical Uses for Finished Gourds

For millennia, and existing still in traditional cultures, the gourd is and has been very useful. Here are some examples of its use:

– Food bowl, bottle to transport water and liquids.

– Float for fishing nets or learning to swim.

– Pots to store salt, spices or natural medicines.

– Spoon for liquids, carrier or bags.

– Use as an instrument; djirimbao, drums, maracas etc.
